SOUTH VALLEY HALF DAY
08:25 a.m. We’ll pick you up from your hotel and travel to the south of the city of Cusco for 40 minutes. In the tour, we will observe beautiful landscapes and visit the archaeological site of Tipon of the Inca period where we will enjoy the domain of hydraulic engineering and where you might see an exceptional irrigation system with vertical and horizontal irrigation channels on agricultural terraces, water flows from Subsoil to a source from which it is distributed by channels, was a center of production and agricultural experimentation. And we will continue the trip to Pikillacta with guided tour; Pre-Inca citadel belonging to the Wari Culture characterized by its levels of construction of stone, lime, plaster, etc., we will enjoy the architecture and continue the tour, we’ll arrive to Andahuaylillas to visit his church called «Sistine Chapel of America» keeps true treasures of art and gold, its walls are typical of colonial buildings, it has a façade adorned with murals that cover the walls and the ceiling is decorated with geometric models, flowers with gold leaf, paintings of holy martyrs and medallions, all this work is attributed to Luis de Riano, Cusco artist from the colonial period.
